Talking About Science in the Age of Trump

Join us Wednesday, June 7th for a forum
“Talking About Science in the Age of Trump,”
featuring Cornelia Dean ’69, long time science writer and former Science Editor of the New York Times, affiliate of the Harvard University Center for the Environment, and Distinguished Visiting Lecturer in Environmental Studies at Brown, discussing her new book Making Sense of Science:  Separating Substance from Spin (Harvard U. Press)
Ms. Dean will be joined by two UCI scientist/activists, Kevork Abazajian and Kathleen Treseder, to discuss the timely topic of how to help non-scientists deal with and evaluate scientific controversies and scientific "fake news.”

Location: University Hills Community Center
on the UCI campus,
1083 California Ave., Irvine, CA 92617,
hosted by Judy Kaufman ’69.
Brown alumni are invited to attend along with the residents of University Hills.
