Andre Willis on Race, Religion and Politics

Andre C. Willis has traveled from the Yale Divinity School to an appointment as assistant professor of religious studies at Brown. The terrain is wide open. This fall, he is teaching a sophomore seminar on Christianity and economic inequality, examining the beliefs — not necessarily religious beliefs — behind the drive toward consumption and wealth, and listening to a variety of voices, not strictly economics. “That’s the can I want to open.”
Brown Club Orange County is proud to host Professor Willis for an insightful discussion about the politics of religious freedom. Come hear him speak at the Sage Hill School Library on Friday, October 12th.
Admission: complimentary and pre-registration is required
Reception starts at 6:30 p.m.
Professor Willis presentation will be from 7-8:00

April 26 is Brown Pay it Forward Day!

Please consider a gift of any size to Brown on April 26.

The more we alumni give, the more voice we have to demand continued progress toward social justice, inclusion and diversity at Brown.

The more widespread our giving, the more leverage we have to ensure alumni needs are addressed.

Your gift on Pay It Forward Day helps ensure our voices are heard.

For the Board,
