- How do political leaders manipulate our
emotions?
- How do politicians use group identity to
incite fear and outrage?
In a time of
pandemic, social unrest and hyper-political electioneering, Brown University
professor Rose McDermott explores these topics in a fascinating and timely
discussion.
A renowned author
on political psychology, emotion and decisionmaking, and the impact of biology
on political behavior, Professor McDermott teaches international relations at
Brown.
Professor McDermott's talk will be followed by a 15 minute
Q&A from 6:30 to 6:45.
