featuring Cornelia Dean ’69, long time science writer and former Science Editor of the New York Times, affiliate of the Harvard University Center for the Environment, and Distinguished Visiting Lecturer in Environmental Studies at Brown, discussing her new book Making Sense of Science: Separating Substance from Spin(Harvard U. Press).
Ms. Dean will be joined by two UCI scientist/activists, Kevork Abazajian and Kathleen Treseder, to discuss the timely topic of how to help non-scientists deal with and evaluate scientific controversies and scientific "fake news.”
