Yours truly began my 2nd calendar year on the Brown Alumni Association Board of Governors and was proud to accept appointment as co-chair of the Regional Strategy (i.e. Clubs) committee of the BAA.  This gives our club unprecedented visibility and access to the decision making process, and your input, participation, ideas and support are needed and welcome as never before.

Please join me in a special shout out to board members, in alpha order, Angela Gupta (VP/Arts & Culture co-chair), Judy Kaufman (Secretary), Marc McReynolds (Member-at-large and interview program liaison), Ed Miskevich (member-at-large), Chiyo Rowe (Membership chair & Arts & Culture co-chair), Carl Schulkin (Treasurer) and our newest board members Hassan Albakri ’00 (Young Alumni Chair), Victoria Wu ’15 (Athletic Chair) and Karen Shapiro ’80 (Member-at-large). Your club wouldn’t exist without the tireless efforts of these individuals!

Calendar planning for 2017 is already in full swing, and our first event of the year is coming up in only two weeks on Tuesday, January 10th, 6:30 p.m. at Sage Hill School with Professor Eric Patashnik  of the Watson Institute here to speak about the impact of the 2016 elections on US health reform.
