Summit highlights included:
- A discussion on the role of the alumni interviewer in the admission process and updates on current admission initiatives.
- An applicant case study session
- A Q&A with Dean of Admission James S. Miller ’73
Interesting factoids from the summit:
- More applications and admissions come from California than from any other state in the Union!
- It took 215 years for Brown applications to hit the 10,000 mark. It took another 29 years to hit 20,000. It took only six more years to hit 30,000!
- Currently over half of Brown admittees matriculate in STEM fields although roughly 1/3 of those graduate in another field.
- Contrary to myth, interviewer write ups are read - at least twice and up to five times - during the review process. Your interviews count, and your participation as an alumni admissions interviewer is critical to the process.
